Terms& conditions.

The rules that keep the platform safe, fair and clear for every school, student and parent.

Last updated: 20 August 2026 · Applies to all iLearning users in Nigeria

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using the iLearning website or platform, you agree to these terms. If you are creating an account or using the platform on behalf of a child or ward, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms on their behalf. If you do not agree, please do not register or use the platform.

2. About iLearning

iLearning is a digital platform that helps private schools run their day to day operations: admissions, attendance, grades, fees, timetables, assignments and communication between the school, students and parents. The school you belong to controls what is published and who can see it. We provide the technology and the rules that govern it.

3. Accounts, roles and access

To use the platform you need an account created through the school or through our registration page. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done with your account.

  • Roles such as student, parent, teacher, bursar, secretary and principal are assigned by the school and can be changed or removed at any time.
  • New accounts start as pending until the school approves them.
  • Access to some features depends on the role the school has given you.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the platform for lawful school purposes only. You must not:

  • share your login details or use another person's account,
  • post abusive, defamatory or misleading content,
  • publish private information about other people without permission,
  • attempt to access areas you are not authorised to see, or
  • interfere with the operation of the platform or its data.

The school may suspend or limit accounts that break these rules.

5. Student and parent data

We collect only what is needed to run the platform and serve the school: registration details, attendance, grades, fees and messages.

  • Student data is processed under the authority of the school and in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR).
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • For details of how your data is used at school level, please see the school's own privacy policy.

6. Communications

We may send service messages, announcements and fee reminders through the platform. The school sends messages to parents for official school purposes. You can opt out of non-essential updates in your profile, but service and safety messages will still be sent.

7. Fees and payments

Where the school collects fees through the platform, you must pay by the due date and through the approved payment channels. A missed payment does not remove your responsibility to settle the full amount. The school sets the fee structure; we only process what the school has configured.

8. Service availability

We work to keep the platform available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, repairs or events outside our control may cause downtime. We are not liable for losses caused by periods when the platform is unavailable.

9. Intellectual property

The iLearning name, logo, software and content are owned by iLearning or its licensors. You may use the platform for its intended purpose, but you may not copy, re-sell or reproduce the software or its content without permission. Content uploaded by the school and its teachers remains owned by the school.

The platform may link to external websites such as payment providers or education resources. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Visit them at your own discretion.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken or if the school requests removal. On termination, access to the platform stops. Data already recorded may be kept where the law or the school's records policy requires it.

12. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, or decisions made by anyone based on information in the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When the changes are significant, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify users through the platform. Continuing to use the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.

14. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Questions about these terms or your data should be sent to your school's administration or to us through the contact details on our website.
